Everybody was Kung Fu fighting!

Yesterday we took the kids to see Kung Fu Panda!. Reagan loved this giant panda cardboard cut-out! This movie was really cute. I love there are still some movies we can take our little kids too. The air conditioning felt pretty awesome in the theater as well. We got all you can eat soda and popcorn and the kids ate and ate and ate. Poor Kenny had to keep running back and forth to the counter for the refills.

Tiger Scouts

We have had Mason in a non-denominational troop this year. They start with the younger boys than the LDS church. This is a pic of Mason getting his Tiger Badge! Yeah! Now he goes on to do Wolf stuff. (hee hee) Can you tell I am just getting this scouting thing figured out. Libby did Girl scouts for a few years in our old neighborhood and she really loved it and so we were excited to get Mason involved. It has helped him come out of his shell a little more and he loves all the "boys stuff" they do. He had to have his dad attend with him all this last year and it was a great time for Male bonding. He just finished two days of Scout camps that he really loved. He got to shoot bb guns, slingshots, and do archery. The first day's theme was something to do with superheroes and the second day was Jurassic Adventures. He did dinosuar and geology stuff. He got to see "The real batman cave" and a bunch of other crazy boy stuff. If dirt is any indicator of how much fun he had, he is filthy so whoooo hoooo!

Piano Recital

The Kids just had a great piano recital. We started with a new teacher , who is closer to us(across the street) and so cute! ( Helps save on gas) Monica does a great job being encouraging and teaching and just being fun. Mason even decided to get back into piano, just 4 weeks ago. both kids played songs at the recital. I was worried Mason wouldn't play because he is so stubborn and shy. when he got up that morning he wouldn't get out of bed and refused to eat breakfast. But with Dairy Queen as insentive and a being grounded from the pool, he played. WHy do kids insist on being stinkers sometimes?

Mason's 7th Birthday

Mason was sooooooooo excited to have another birthday. (Somewhere between 20 and 30 the wonder wears off). He wanted Mario Kart for the Wii and he also really wanted some dart guns that came as a set. He can play dart tag now with his friends and annoy his sisters. All in a days work!! Thanks to all the family for presents!

Hannah Montana!

So today in church I had one of those "mother" moments when you want to crawl in a hole and die or burst out laughing so hard you pee your pants. I'm not sure which one this is. A gentlemen was getting up to play a musical number on his guitar. He strummed it a few times to make sure it was in key and then paused right before he started the song. In that instance my three year old daughter yells, " Is that Hannah Montana playing?" Everyone around us got a real chuckle out of her. She wasn't sure what she had done that was so funny. She just wanted to know if she was going to see Hannah Montana. Oh, I do love a good laugh now and then.

I did it!!

I caved. I Have finally started a blog. Its been such an internal debate for so long now. Do I? dont I? What if no one reads it? What if people read it and think - it is so lame. I just want to have a place to keep up with friends and family. I must admit I have been lurking in some friends blogs lately and just decided it was time to join in on the fun. It would require of course that I stay out of the hospital for more than 5 minutes. Here Goes!
