I love the 4th of July! We started the day with patriotic pancakes and a trip out to get fireworks. This is a big deal for our little family, and we always call it our 4th of July Fireworks extravaganza. Melissa and Jonathon emerged from the Alaskan frontier after driving for days straight and they were eager to blow some things up too. They couldn't do fireworks at all the whole time they were in Alaska. boo hoo. We put our fireworks together and had quite the show. We spent the day swimming, sucking down popcycles and then we had a bbq.. It was so cute to see my little nephew Grant watching the fireworks. He kept saying something like "what's that?" and then just giggling when they lit up. Reagan thought the sparklers were really cool and she loved the pink diamond fountain libby picked out. Mason had to see a blue planet fountain again this year and he picked a goofy looking clown, that we were all too happy to light up and get rid of. Libby was a big helper with Grant and like to see the Magna fireworks we could see from the Lachowski's.

Mason's 7th Birthday
Mason was sooooooooo excited to have another birthday. (Somewhere between 20 and 30 the wonder wears off). He wanted Mario Kart for the Wii and he also really wanted some dart guns that came as a set. He can play dart tag now with his friends and annoy his sisters. All in a days work!! Thanks to all the family for presents!

Hannah Montana!
So today in church I had one of those "mother" moments when you want to crawl in a hole and die or burst out laughing so hard you pee your pants. I'm not sure which one this is. A gentlemen was getting up to play a musical number on his guitar. He strummed it a few times to make sure it was in key and then paused right before he started the song. In that instance my three year old daughter yells, " Is that Hannah Montana playing?" Everyone around us got a real chuckle out of her. She wasn't sure what she had done that was so funny. She just wanted to know if she was going to see Hannah Montana. Oh, I do love a good laugh now and then.

I did it!!
I caved. I Have finally started a blog. Its been such an internal debate for so long now. Do I? dont I? What if no one reads it? What if people read it and think - it is so lame. I just want to have a place to keep up with friends and family. I must admit I have been lurking in some friends blogs lately and just decided it was time to join in on the fun. It would require of course that I stay out of the hospital for more than 5 minutes. Here Goes!
